Inflammation is bad for our health. It can cause many health problems and diseases. There are many ways by which you can reduce inflammation. Chronic inflammation can occur for some specific reasons and if you know the reasons then you can reduce the inflammation by doing certain changes in your diet and lifestyle.

By changing your diet you can do a big favour to your body against inflammation. Anti-inflammatory diet are including essential fatty acids (EFA’s), lots of vitamin and minerals such as Vitamin A, C, E, K and B vitamins, minerals such as copper, zinc, selenium and magnesium- extremely important for reducing inflammation. Bioflavonoids or plant chemicals are known for anti-inflammatory properties. These compounds are found abundantly in many fruits and vegetables. Quercetin, epicatechin, and oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC’s) are few bioflavonoids which are known for anti-inflammatory properties.

Herbs, Fruits and Vegetables

Herbs are important for anti-inflammatory diet. They are a part of herbal medicine to reduce inflammation. In general, almost all herbs contain anti-inflammatory properties but there are also certain herbs which are known as anti-inflammatory herbs. Most famous anti-inflammatory herbs are ginger, turmeric, garlic, arnica and capsaicin. Green vegetables, citrus fruits are important part of the anti-inflammatory diet as well. Onion is very effective to promote good blood flow and reduce inflammation.

Physical Activity

To reduce inflammation, it is important to do some physical activities. Exercise 20 to 30 minutes every day can be great for the health. Any physical activity like exercise, walking, yoga can help to lower inflammation of the body. A good sleep is equally important for reducing inflammation. It is the time when body repairs the damages, so, you try to have a good night’s sleep. 

Drink plenty of water. Drinking water helps body to eliminate toxins from the body. It is a good way to manage inflammation.  Drink eight to ten glasses of water to detoxify your body and reduce the unwanted inflammation.

To reduce the inflammation you should break your bad and unhealthy habits. Smoking, alcohol, caffeine are bad for our health and these can be the reason for inflammation. Remember, smoking is a major reason for inflammation. If you are addicted to smoking, stop smoking to get rid of the inflammation. To reduce inflammation, you need to relax and calm yourself. This is going to help you to reduce cortisol hormone, thus you can reduce inflammation.
